"Watching how a horse responds so visibly to the adjustment always renews my understanding of why I became a chiropractor." – Dr. Jordan Weeda, DC

Humans ask a lot of their horses, and we want the best life for them. There are a lot of reasons why a horse owner may wish to have their horse seen by a chiropractor. It may be a trauma (slip/fall, getting kicked by another horse, rearing injury, trailering accident, etc), repetitive stress from their job (turning around barrels, jumping obstacles, ranch work, or any other discipline), or simply wanting to optimize performance or improve quality of life in an aging animal.

Chiropractic care is a critical component of the comprehensive care of an animal, but it is not a substitution for Veterinary care. The purpose of animal chiropractic is to restore proper movement and function to the spine and extremities of the animal so it can move with more ease and experience less pain and more optimal function.

Dr. Weeda uses only his hands to provide Equine Chiropractic care. The work is gentle and very comprehensive. In a typical equine visit, he will check over the entire animal including the whole spine, ribs, and all extremities, providing adjustments where indicated and giving some feedback and home care instructions to the owner.

Dr. Weeda serves the Duluth-Superior area within a 1-2 hour radius for an additional trip fee depending on mileage. Clients are also welcome to trailer their horses to the home clinic and save the trip fee. Dr. Weeda’s eventual goal is to build a facility on their property to provide Equine Chiropractic care and equine rehab onsite.
